The French School of Tehran (EFT : Ecole Française de Téhran) is certified by the French Ministry of Education, therefore the teaching complies with approved French curriculum . The Parents Association manages the French School in Tehran. It is placed under the authority and the protection of the French Embassy, which acts on behalf of the AEFE (The Agency for French Education Abroad). The Association of Parents has signed a “Convention.EFT” with the AEFE. The school is Co-Ed and so welcomes both girl and boys and starts at kindergarten and goes up to “Terminal”.
International German school (DBST: Deutsche Botschaftsschule Teheran) goes from kindergarten through to high school (Sekundarstufe II). It is affiliated to the German Embassy and is situated in the north of Tehran. The official language of DBST is German. The foreign languages taught are English, Farsi and French. English and Farsi are taught from the first grade and French is taught from 6th grade (for secondary students optional).
International section of the German school is situated on the same campus as the German school in Tehran. The classes start from nursery to 8thgrade (13 years old). The official language of the international section is English, and German is mandatory as a second language. As a candidate of the PYP (Primary Years Program), the international section of the German school follows the IB (International Baccalaureate) Learner profile.
Pietro Della Valle is the Italian school in Tehran. It’s a mixed school (girls and boys). It starts from kindergarten through to high school and is situated in the north of the city.
Pakistan International School & College (PISC) was founded in 1964 to provide a high quality education to expatriate businesses, embassies and children of foreign families. PISC is an English-medium day school for girls & boys from kindergarten all the way to 12th grade. It is currently the only school in Iran that grants Cambridge O & A levels qualifications in Iran.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Tehran is the Indian International School in Tehran and is affiliated to the Embassy of India. It caters form the LKG grade through to XII. Hindi and English are compulsory taught languages.
Mahdavi International School (SMIS): This English language international school offers an authorized IB PYP program. It caters to students from ages 4 to 13.
Tehran International School (TIS): The Tehran International School (TIS) was founded in 1985 as a combined Iranian and American school. It was authorized to offer the IB Diploma Program since December 1994, the curriculum is taught in English. The school is open to girls and boys.
Tehran Korean School, also called the Korean Embassy School is only open to the children of Korean citizens.
Tehran Japanese School This Japanese language school is open to children with at least one Japanese citizen as a parent or guardian.
Tehran Russian school is affiliated to the Russian Embassy and accepts girls and boys from 6 year’s old. It’s situated on the Russian embassy field in the middle of the city.
